The 4th annual Crochet Empire jockstrap fashion show inspired by 80's and 90's kid's shows. Will He-Man and Skeletor finally have the hate sex we've all been waiting 30 years for? Have you ever been curious to what sexy Gargamel would look like? Sunday, May 6 is the day to find out. The much loved kid's shows we're going ruin from your childhood are He-Man, Thundercats, Smurfs, Transformers and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. All proceeds will benefits the two Chicago area HIV charities TPAN and Chicago House.

The night is hosted by RuPaul's Drag Race star Detox and featuring adult film star Sean Duran. Models will wear fetish cosplay inspired by the TV shows, and the jockstraps will be auctioned off live on stage. Harnesses, scarfs and other items will be available in silent auction. The night will also include burlesque performances in addition to the fashion show.

The event is sponsored by The Western Wind Foundation with additional sponsorship by Steamworks Chiago.

Other silent auction items include packages from Men's Room Chicago, Unabridged Books, Pastoral, Restoration Salon, Miller Coors, Rockwell Barbell and more.

Ticket categories are:

General Admission: includes admission to the event and supports local HIV charities.

VIP: includes admission to the event, meet and greet with Detox, 2 drink tickets and reserved cocktail seating around the catwalk.

Cocktails start at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:00pm.


Detox, born Matthew Sanderson, is a nationally-renowned drag queen, best known for her sharp fashion sense and sharper wit. Detox was a semi-finalist on the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season II, and regularly performs in venues across Europe, North America, Australia, Asia, and South America. When she’s not on tour, Detox is walking runways at New York Fashion Week, making guest appearances on television shows, and vacationing in exotic locales.

Detox appeared in music videos with Ke$ha, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga. Detox, along with Willam Belli and Vicky Vox, released “Chow Down at Chik-Fil-A” in response to Chik-Fil-A’s public opposition to same-sex marriage. The song was a success, reaching No. 12 on Billboard Comedy Digital Songs chart, and the music video, which attracted over 7 million views, and garnered coverage by Forbes, Huffington Post, New York Magazine, and many other outlets. Following the success of “Chow Down,” Detox, William Belli and Vicky Vox began performing together as DWV. Their videos “Boy is a Bottom” (No. 6 on the Comedy Digital Songs chart), “Silicone”, and “Blurred Bynes”, among others, have accumulated over 45 million views combined.Detox has also released several solo songs, including “This is How We Jew It,” “Homemade for the Holidays,” and “Supersonic,” all of which charted and have several million views. Detox’s latest single is “She’s Gotta Habit,” an ode to fashion with an outrageous video was released in October 2017, and her digital series, “Detox’s Life Rehab,” premiered in November 2017 on WOW Presents Plus.
